Since their origin in 1996 as the European Payment Cards Yearbook, Payment Card Yearbooks have expanded each year and now comprise two separate publications.

The European Payment Cards Yearbook covers the 27 countries of the EU plus Croatia, Iceland, Norway, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey.

The Russia and CIS Payment Cards Yearbook covers Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Publisher: Richard Rolfe
Richard Rolfe founded European Card Review in 1994 and is now a contributing editor to its successor publication, Payments Cards & Mobile.

Research: Peter Welch
After becoming involved in cards research in the early 1990s through the Credit Card Research Group, Peter set up his own consultancy, Bankecon. He has been involved in the Yearbooks since their inception.

Statistics: Amanda Balding
Amanda has been responsible for the key task of researching and compiling Yearbook tables and accompanying text for the past three years. She has a BSc degree in statistics from the UK Open University.
