Estonia is the most developed of the Baltic markets and in many respects the most developed of all the CEE markets.
There were 1.4 internationally-branded bank cards per capita in 2010; there were 125 card payments per capita, of which 112 were by debit cards.
Most cards are debit cards; banks consolidated credit cards in 2010, as over 40% have been inactive.
